Has anyone ever tried escargot?

Are they tasty?
TrashCat · M
They smell like tooth decay and regret

My husband likes them, but probably because of the garlic butter. 😄 I think they’re gross.

@ChampagneOnIce I love them and I suspect the garlic butter is a large component of that.
Yes. I enjoy them I suspect I would enjoy almost anything drenched in that much butter & garlic!

I really LOVE them if they are served in a sauce of butter, garlic and wine.
FoolishLuna · 56-60, F
Yes but you must season them and not over cook them!

I actually cannot remember whether I have or not! 😅

I actually have when at an all inclusive resort in MX. A server came around with some and convinced a MUCH reluctant and skeptical me to just try a bit. Damned if I didn't kinda like it and even ordered some the next time we dined there.

No. Saw a lot of people consuming them in Morocco. Using a large safety to pull them out of the shells. Then they’d leave those pins in a cup to be reused. 😖
Yes. They can be good if properly prepared. I've had some that tasted a little fishy, which I didn't like.

It was ok . Not something I'd eat all the time .
It’s ok. I don’t mind eating them if served.
Yes, they are very good.

I have tried them, however I’m not a garlic lover. I like to taste what I am eating instead of what it is seasoned with. I don’t use garlic, steak sauce, and reluctant to use even salt.
If cooked correctly they are delicious. Give it a whirl.

I actually had my first escargot when I was a kid.
I bet someone out there, in fact, has.

It's okay. Nothing special about it really. Look at this way, everything taste good with enough butter and garlic.
