What does it feel like to be loved?

Happened to me once.
In my and her mature years.
What does it feel?
Like life make sense.

It feels warm and powerful like you can take over the world. They become all u think of and they also think in you. There’s an element of fear of not really knowing what the other feels and a sensation of safety that they feel the same way. The happiness this brings makes you feel like your on top of the world. Like nothing else matters because no longer will you deal with it alone. It feels wonderful. But the magic is hard to find.

I think my mother loved me. I saw her cry when I moved away from home. To me, that was love. Other than that, I have no idea....

me neither come over

I couldn't tell you. In spite of having loved many people over the years (family, friends, dates, partner), I don't think any of them cared much about me in return.

It must be amazing to be loved.

It is the best feeling in the world but hurts so much when you lose it. Stuck in there, there is someone out there for you

New love is like an addictive drug filling your brain with happy chemicals. Long term love is stability with occasional murderous internal rage. Maybe that’s just me

It feels like life has a foundation that one can rely on. It's liberating. Confidence building. It feels risky. It feels like being a part of something bigger and more important than oneself. It feels like belonging.

I had a cat that adored me. No body in family did, nor loved me, but verbally and emotionally abused me. Not my cat.

Poets have tried, sometimes successfully, for centuries.

I would love to find that out too - I'm presuming you're talking about romantic/intimate/sexual/adult love not parental love as I get in spades from my 5 y/o (and she gets it back from me her very proud dad).

The former kind is pure unobtainium.

I know what unconditional love from a child (my 6 yo daughter) is like but sadly find adult romantic intimate love highly elusive and basically pure unobtainium now in my 50's.

You feel safe and like you matter and are beautiful and not an invisible pos all of a sudden.
