Oh, you are so wrong! Some of us out in the country like where I live have no cell phone service over our area. I complained and wined to the cell companies just like I hear and see the Winer's here do, and I was politely told there are not enough citizens/people living in my area to justify the cost of installing a cell tower. So, we are stuck with land line phones if we want to call or have emergency services available to us.

@WillaKissing do you have good internet options? I’ve lived in places that only did satellite internet because it was too rural, and it sucked
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
@itsok Yes we have the satellite crap service that when a bird flies over rains or snows you have nothing at all. So, I get my internet through the dang land line phone company to have Wi-Fi for my computer and my cell connects to it but only functions if I am in the house during what they call peak hours, then the cell is as useless as a rock for anything.

@NerdyPotato Wait what 🤨lol
NerdyPotato · M
@kodiac why else are the numbers associated with letters?
kodiac · 22-25, M
@NerdyPotato You can see on this old calendar phone numbers used to be a combination of letters and numbers 484 becomes iv 4
NerdyPotato · M
Some people still do, but are phone books still delivered door by door? 😲
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
@NerdyPotato This one was. I haven't seen one in years. So it took me by surprise.

Woah...I haven't seen one of those in years in our city. I didn't think they made them anymore.
I got one through the letterbox a month or two back...
deadgerbil · 26-30, M
