Whelp… I’m kinda losing it

Found out my mom’s Pap smear came back abnormal

She’s awaiting the second part of results and doctor sent her upstairs during her visit to make appointment for colposcopy

She might have cervical cancer. And what I’m scared of but didn’t mention to her (even though I know she’s thinking of it).., her lungs had nodules on them recently when she was sent to hospital for chest pain

I’m worrying…

I poured some wine from my husband’s bottle… and I’m drinking it.

I have issues with my mom but I love her, and I know she loves my kids so much and they love her

I also have my period, so maybe I’m being more dramatic than I should. I dunno.., that’s it

I’m just not ready for her to be ill like that.., I know no one ever is

I’m hoping/praying/wishing that all of it is fine… that it’s something that can easily be treated and it’s all fine

@WaryWitchWandering Like I said, I totally wouldn't panic.

@JimboSaturn thank you.,, I hope you’re right

I'm terribly sorry. My own mom is starting to have issues with low iron levels and we're a bit concerned it might be something serious too. Like what you said here, I'm not ready for my mom to be having such health problems right now... But for whatever it's worth, you're not alone. They ruled out cancer for my mom, at least. Here's hoping you're able to get the same news for your mom. Be strong.
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@Ducky @JimboSaturn it’s crazy when you are the child but an adult and need to be strong (it’s something I dealt with even as a child in my household)

Now I worry not only about my kids (who are so close with their Noni)

But ME… I have always wanted my mom to be there fully , and she really has been for some time now.

I just don’t want her to leave us all yet

@WaryWitchWandering I love my mom too but we have been distant. No anger just distant. I moved away from my home town and haven't gone back much to visit due my dog rescue. I will have to go during the Christmas holidays. I'm surprised she lived this long she had an unhealthy lifestyle
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@JimboSaturn I hope my kids never feel the turmoil I do… I understand being scared or sad

But I also have other shit brewing underneath that’s never fully been resolved between us… regarding my father (who she still talks with)

It all makes me feel like maybe I really was the crazy one all along

I hurt… my inner child is tantruming… adult me is jus sad and scared

I don’t know

It’s very worrisome when a parent might be or is sick. Hopefully whatever they find can be dealt with quickly and she makes a full recovery. 🤗🤗

You're not being more dramatic than you should, that shits scary. Even if theres a rocky relationship with the parents you still have a heart & you do care. There's so much that goes through your mind & there's nothing you can change.. so it all feels so overwhelming. I'll be wishing you the best either way 🙏

Oh & sorry I laugh reacted by accident. Stupid phone 🙄

I had my uterus removed last year , luckily I was vigilant and my next door neighbor friend and doctor found me a great surgeon . I was only mildly sore

@WaryWitchWandering well I would hope so . We don’t have to agree on everything do we?
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F

I don’t have to agree with people to like them haha

{@warywitchwandering] sorry your mam had this terrible news but try not too worry it may be nothing she will not know until her test results . worst case scenario cervical cancer is treatable so please try not too worry and be there for mam
ReneeT · 61-69, M
I'll keep your mom in my thoughts and prayers! Hoping for more encouraging results when all is said
gamingnerd · 26-30, M

Turtlepower · 36-40, M
Ugh I'm sorry and hope your Mom receives good news.
Spumoni · 46-50, M
Good thoughts to your mom.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
I wouldn't panic yet. She MAY have cervical cancer and if she does ,it is probably treatable. It's amazing how much they can do now!

How old is your mom?
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@WaryWitchWandering Does she smoke?
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@JimboSaturn no, she did when younger though

Thinking of you 🙏🏻
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Oh no, hope things turn out alright in the end. I've had a couple of cancers, and the doctors took care of them, so don't think the worst. Just be their to support her and give her help.
JustNik · 51-55, F
I understand the worry. 🫂💞 🙏
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
It's stressful, but seems like it's a "wait and see" thing right now.
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@uncalled4 yes, but it just made me feel completely lost in an odd way
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@WaryWitchWandering It's heartbreaking when a parent is ill, We wish we could help more. Best we can do is support.
caccoon · 36-40
I'm so sorry. Try not to worry too much until you hear back and what can be done 💙 but I know it must be awful 😔💙

Big hugs for you 💙💙
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
Try not to panic too much until you know for sure. I really hope everything is okay.
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@iamonfire696 I’m trying to keep it in perspective
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@WaryWitchWandering she may just have pre-cancerous cells which means they would do a hysterectomy. My mom had those results and then had surgery and she’s been fine.
