In my country you don't even have to sneak in, most clubs are full with 15 year olds hahah not to mention only a few bars will hesitate serving underage alcohol. I never had the ID experience here.
Only when I went to another european country, I had a worker at the supermarket ask for my ID because I wanted to buy beers and I was clearly an adult, like 22 😂 At first I didn't even realize what she was asking for. Then it hit me like oh of course, children aren't allowed to drink 😬

I wandered into a Chinese restaurant on day release from hospital in London (I was 15 at the time), managed to convince the old Chinese guy behind the bar to let me drink some strong Chinese wine. Ran right into the arms of two London cops on my way back to hospital !!

Hah.....a night club? What's that?
We were country kids...in my community....tied to the soil. We didn't have or need a club I think. We went to a place over by one of the local lakes who looked the other way when, we bought racks of beer. She was just being pragmatic, she needed to keep her old clapboard store afloat and we were looking for ummm....volume and no I.D. required.
Our night club was a large fire pit down in the woods where we gathered to enjoy a Saturday night under the trees, where our ballroom glitter ball was the stars.
I suspect that, our difference in venue yielded many good memories either way. Of course, when you're partying around a fire in thigh deep snow that's been kicked back with yer boots, it makes it so much homey and appreciated....hah. The beer was always cold....

I didn't drink until college and by then I looked old enough that no one ever carded me.

@HeidiA I looked 12 lol. We started drinking when we about 14.
HeidiA · 41-45, F
@JimboSaturn I wasn’t fussed about the alcohol back then, I just wanted to go dancing.

@HeidiA Yes I remember it was very exciting being in a club for the first time. First of all it was sneaky and the music, women, and adult atmosphere!
RebelFox · 36-40, F
I did. It was so risky in so many ways. I got really drunk and ended up fucking a guy I had to finish officer training with 🫣

I went in some but they were more the ones that let us in rather than sneaking in those that tried to limit us.

I was 4'9" when I was 15. No amount of makeup or heels could compensate for that 😭

I started going in pubs at 14 and clubs at 16. I still got a half fare on the bus though.

I got into a pretty well known NY club with classmates when we drove up for Spring Break one year. I was 18, but one of my friends was a native and knew the bouncer. It was a neat experience.

No, but I know a guy who got his life ruined at age 21 by a 15 year old girl who had snuck into a club and had a few drinks. I'll let you guess what happened.
@LordShadowfire :( im guessing hes on a list now
HeidiA · 41-45, F
@LordShadowfire Well that wasn’t going to happen to me. I just wanted to dance. And my older friends where keeping close by.
Last thing you want is a guy ruining your night.

@HeidiA I'm glad to hear that. Honestly, I think this other girl had some pretty serious issues going on, not just going out for a good time. Her dad was a sheriff's deputy, and was probably pretty strict.
