At what point in life is 'your time in the sun' over ?

Age 40? Age 50? Age 60?

Something different? I feel like mine is passing currently so by 50 I'm sliding down the other side into perpetual obscurity.

@Ozuye502 Were you required to get that experimental vaccine or if not, why take it?

Depends upon how you define "your time in the sun", and what you allow to define yourself. If work defines you, it pretty much sets the day you retire (unless you continue to have a consulting role as I did). If family defines you, it is going to change but not end when you become an empty nester. If you have a multitude of interests, your time may not end until the final flicker of curiosity and involvement is gone.

That’s a great question..I think that I have had phases like that.. I am coming to another sunny spot ..🤷🏻‍♂️
I think that when a person starts to think that the good days are behind them, then the universe will make sure that they’re right.

@DrawntoaDistance Like most things it happens gradually and you don't realise it's happening until it's probably gone too far. After all once you are no longer 'Tinder age' (18 to 35 - Tinder the dating version of Contiki) you're a has-been as 'traffic light' dating becomes off-limits. ;-)

Probably once one hits their 60's. Though there are some people who haven't yet realized that their time in the sun has long since passed.

They say 40 is the old age of youth and also the youth of old age.
Most of us are at least half way through life by 40 so I would say just about then.

Nah, just change gears. Enjoy you are and where you are in life.

@DownTheStreet True the sun just comes from a different angle when you get older.
