Lost and Unwell

I recently resigned from my job. The pay, benefits and opportunities were good. I felt like I have to do it and it was right.

But was I? I am emotionally, mentally and physically drain.

I used to live near from my work but I moved somewhere far because of the pandemic and I was living with my ex. Then last Christmas, I decided to celebrate Christmas with my family and from right there it's been crazy.

Broke up with my ex, had a bad performance at work and everthing fell apart.

So..I resigned, moved out my stuff from my apartment, I don't care anymore and now..I'm just lost.

I don't know how to start again...

I think that if it drains you in any way it's not the right place for you, and you did a good thing by leaving that place. You'll find something better, sometimes starting from scratch is the best thing you can do for your own health and well-being.

There is a thing in health care called the Holmes Scale which assigns values to the amount of stress you are putting on yourself with major life changes. Score high enough and you are guaranteed to get ill. You hit a trifecta with the break up, the relocation, and quitting your job. So no wonder you feel so drained; count your blessings if you are not more physically ill.

It's a clean slate now. Time to focus on building what you want in life rather than what you gave up, and whether you made the right choices. Don't even look at the rear-view mirror.

@dancingtongue Very true. Any change adds some points of stress.
From the scratch.
With faith.
