Starting to think I have issues with confrontation

My boss and I are leading a financial peace university class and it’s great. I can see how much he enjoys helping people with money by the enthusiasm he has with the stories he shares. We kind of have a good cop - bad cop thing going on. His delivery sounds more harsh while I try and guide people into opening up. I do need to find a way to get him to share less though. It’s not giving the class the space to share. I just don’t know how to bring it up.

I didn’t even need to bring it up. We talked about the class in passing and he brought up that he was talking too much lol.

Lol it’s a program that teaches you how to be better with money. From the classes I’ve lead and most people I’ve talked to, they weren’t taught how to build wealth.

Have a look at Marshal Rosenberg's book, "Non-Violent Communication". It offers a means of speaking one's truth in a way that's easy for the other to hear.

I'm not going to confrontation, either. I either avoid and stuff, or I go too far.
