What’s the best job you’ve ever had?

Current one.
Sewage plant operator.
Eclipsed · M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout haha I can't believe I actually understood that, that's what we do.. we have a treatment plant at our facility and use ultraviolet to purify the well water we use for drinking.. the waste water once processed we use to irrigate.
Mindful · 56-60, F
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout ironic
Heading to Brazos Colorado river delta near matagora bay in Texas
@Eclipsed at another plant I look after all the effluent goes into a dam and it’s a EPA requirement that every drop goes onto the farmers harvest.. if the dam over flows it’s a licence breach and big money fines.. imagine trying to handle that in all the rain.. the farmer can’t use it, the grounds already soggy.. 😑
FloorGenAdm · 51-55, M
Had my own place at the flea market.
Mindful · 56-60, F
@FloorGenAdm now THAT sounds fun! What did you sell?
FloorGenAdm · 51-55, M
@Mindful Sold whatever I could find good deals on to turn a profit...couldn't even get my stuff out of the truck before I sold half of it soon as I got there sometimes.
Mindful · 56-60, F
@FloorGenAdm wow! Must have been good stuff!

I like working at the lockdown memory care assisted living facilities at evening shift. All you do is get paid to watch tv and y’ell at people to sit down 😂

My current one at a call center.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@SW-User really? I worked at a call center. It was horrible. You'd literally get a Skype message from the manager/director who worked in a different building, if you were away from your computer for 10 minutes. Like we were robots or something. I do need food and water and a potty break from time to time.
SW-User
@iamnikki The one I work at operates differently. There are scheduled breaks every two to three hours. And the purpose of the whole company is to help the hearing impaired.
TheotherAndy · 41-45, M
One I don’t get paid for, being a volunteer firefighter:)
BananaBrown · 41-45, F
Working at a photo lab. Not for the pay, but because I really enjoyed what I did.

A place called City tire & wheel. I was good at what I did, people liked me there, and liked being there. I also liked a woodworking place long ago, not a lumber yard but loved working on wood lathes and other stuff. Loved the smell of wood, back when I could smell. I like working period. But City tire was good..
