Why do people still believe in exorcism?

Demons dont care about psychiatry.

Probably because from a young age we are told things by our parents as truth. When we grow older and think for ourselves and see evidence to the contrary then our minds must either reject the evidence or accept it and reject what our parents taught us as truth.

This is not always easy and sometimes takes many years. Religion in general is like that.

Never seen an exorcism done in real life. Heard stories of people being possessed though. Idk. Different type of exorcism for different cultures.

Hard to break what we were brought up with.

I respectfully disagree. I've worked with a few that's used all sorts of medical treatment for years and didn't get well until I intervened. And it wasn't psychosis, they were "attachments".

Never expect people to think as you do, or even practical and logical. As far as modern medicine, it has fucked up many and is very corrupt in its undertakings. The health field can be Nobel, but it's agenda is keeping you sick and medicated, not healthy and self reliant.

by same extension, why do so many people believe in God? Why do some people still deny evolution in spite of scientific evidence?

I guess people who believe in a religion are also likely to believe in demons.

People believe what they want to believe.
