Do you choose your lover over your best friend?

Why should anyone have to do that

Neither would be a lover or a best friend if it came to that .. right?

Nope...
But I've been at the other side... My friends ditched me for their boyfriends...

Years ago my best friend ditched me for her boyfriend who she then ditched for another boyfriend and another and so on..

Lover? No. Husband? Yes. Spouse is number one, always.

I don't chose anyone based on that.

I chose them based on their behaviors.

What if he’s my best friend?

You don't have to choose one over the other...but if your relationship with your SO is serious (and especially if you marry them) the he or she should take priority and come first.

Best friend always wins.

That would depend on the lover. If she is a casual girlfriend probably not. If she is the woman I am spending the rest of my life with she will be first always.
