It really depends on what that something is...if a young child is crying people may not be able to control their first feelings and feel sick or unwell from it....while others may just feel annoyed or angry compared to brain stimulus to some sort of pain one can draw from it or emotional pain.
Some people can be easily overwhelmed but that doesn't always stem from maturity or even intelligence, ranging from trauma, mental to social illnesses...some people cannot help what they will feel naturally first before anything else....but that does not exclude someone from what they do outwardly compared to inward no control of physical/emotional pain.
I was in a war, I did everything I could to keep my people safe, so was under a lot of pressure but I had a great deal of perseverance and calm in me that not everyone has or feels. There are still things that happen in my own house whether it be from cptsd or something that hurts me in a way I cannot understand where I cannot feel anything but jumpy and tend to be overprotective of my home...if anyone were to come I would take action.
I will not tolerate and I mean it in any way, anyone who will not listen to me and someone who hurts others.

They'd have to push me pretty hard. Even when I'm upset, I'm still reasonably calm, but when pushed? I can dish out 'home truths' with the best of them.

@electropura rarely happens but When is happening I say things and then I regret it.
electropura · 36-40, M
@ili1981 Yeah, it rarely happens to me, but some people love pushing and pushing until they get a response, which they get. Sometimes I regret it though.
ili1981 · 41-45, M
@electropura some people just don't know when to stop indeed :(

Depends on the situation. Most of the time it takes a long time I try to see it from the other persons perspective. If a guy gets physical i answer that right away. Can't let yourself be walked on.

Sometimes, not all that long. 😳 It's situational though.

A long, long time and even then I may just keep it inside.
ili1981 · 41-45, M
@AlmostAnAngel if someone push you to the edge he will deal with me! 😤

You mean had enough and lash out at someone? That takes a lot to get me to that point.
ili1981 · 41-45, M
@SW-User exactly. That's good, patience is a nice thing.

SW-User
@ili1981 It is. But when I get to my boiling point, people better look out.
metalicblack · 46-50, M
I would walk away long before that could happen
ili1981 · 41-45, M
@metalicblack this is good, sometimes I say things and later I regret it.
metalicblack · 46-50, M
@ili1981 sometimes it makes the problem worse but even just a minute to cool off helps
ili1981 · 41-45, M
@metalicblack I know exactly what you mean and I agreed.
JustLikeGreta · F
I rarely ever do so.
ili1981 · 41-45, M
@JustLikeGreta that's nice :)
I only implode

I take insults well and I love dishing them out. Nothing causes me to react in such a way.

Have a long fuse but when it is burned to the end...RUN!
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
Outburst what?
ili1981 · 41-45, M
@MartinTheFirst to someone... To push your buttons and then outburst to them.

@ili1981 hmmm a proper rage was 1.5 years ago. I was messing with a friend, he thought i was angry, he got angry in defense, i got angry and we started yelling in a very tiny room.
