Yes. After Trump was elected President in 2016, the same people who told Trump and his supporters to act like adults and accept their loss, now acted like lunatics and insisted the results couldn't be legitimate.
Watching the supposed adults and our supposed betters act like butthurt cry babies and spend 4 years trying anything and everything to get Trump to resign instead of accepting the will of the people changed my whole political worldview.

You are exactly right about the crying and whining after the 2016 election. I also understand the terrible news reporting following the 2020 election. The main points were. 1. Ignoring Soros got elected judges in targeted precincts in favor of his politics. 2. Changing election balloting from few mail in ballots to roughly half mail in ballots. These changes were made in violation of constitutional law which says only state legislatures can change voting laws. 3. Ignoring multiple security cameras showing ballots illegally delivered to voting sights in the night following the election. 4. Cameras showing poll workers taking these ballots, sometimes filling them in, and placing them with all other ballots. And counting them. 5. Ignoring malfunctions in computers made and programmed in Venezuela, a clearly adversarial nation, all malfunctioning contributed to bidumb. 6. The press ignored all attempts to bring these illegal actions to court. The Soros judges refused to hear the cases they, themselves, had helped to bring about. 7. Press ignored the physically violent methods dem poll workers used to drive away republicans, especially in Detroit and Pennsylvania. There was much more, I have gone too far as it is.
The point (for me) is that following this attempted assassination I am done. No polite anymore. You guys will get to hear how it is.

I am sure you arent the only one.
My values and positions have changed some over the past 30 years, but not much. Back then others saw me as "slight conservative", yet now I am called a Marxist. Go figure.

I used to put truck in these names but they are there for divide and conquer. You are either against top down tyranny or not.
Most people who identify as "liberal" or "conservative" will cherry pick what issues they will be against or for......and this will always lead to hypocrisy and contradiction. Im out of the binary statist, inverted reality.....they just cant leave others alone though.

I was once a liberal. Now I'm a socialist who reads a LOT of Marx. Age does that.

No. I continue to be open minded and observant. I calls 'em as I sees 'em.

It looks to that you were receptive of the liberal ideas you were exposed to.
