Your concept of womanhood, maybe.

First, all feminists are "proactive." It's why the movement.

And they're not necessarily part of the LGBTQ+ community, not unless they're gay.

Women are still women. Straight ones look gay, gays look straight, some have social justice on their agenda, others cheerleading competitions. They come in all sizes, color, shapes, intellects and quirks, which is what makes them so great.

If you've got any "concept" of womanhood at all, I promise you're wrong.

@Graylight I am very knowledgeable about womanhood. I bleed every month. But I also know that F/M is not clear for all people. Some are on the border. Some have been devastated by their own sex and seek refuge in the other sex.

@Blodyn Nope. First, being a biological female doesn't make you a knowledgeable or particularly incisive woman. Makes you a female human animal

Two, you're right. There's an entire spectrum of sexual identity ranging from the strictest heterosexual to the most devout homosexual, and there are leagues in between.

What you're wrong about is your belief that trauma and upheaval cause gender identity or orientation. While that has happened, it is the extreme exception to the rule. People are born the way they are. You would know sooner date a woman and bring her home to your bed tonight then a gay man would.

People won't understand human sexuality until they stop treating it with fear and outdated information.

@Graylight Your first paragraph said it all. Boys are not boys. Girls are not girls. My birth certificate says Girl.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Blodyn And that is your physical designation. Nothing more. I'd hazard a guess most women think they're more than a letter on their birth certificate.
Blodyn · 22-25, F
@Graylight So I am a girl because a doctor said so.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Blodyn Your physical sex at birth was female, yes. That's only one element of being a woman. Bell peppers can be designated by 'sex,' too.
Blodyn · 22-25, F
@Graylight I do not know what bell peppers are.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Blodyn You don't really need to for purposes of the debate, but you may know these by another name:
Blodyn · 22-25, F
@Graylight They are peppers. I don't buy them often but I see them in Tesco. We have green ones and red ones.

@Blodyn Other things aside, they're really great. You have to like the taste of course, but they're crisp, bright and sweet. Excellent raw, in recipes or on the grill. But the green are the least ripe and not great for much, though people disagree.
