It isn't the brain, it is the mind.

I can't conceive of it, myself, but I have always felt like a male, and I have male genitalia.

I don't know what goes into creating our sense of sexual self, which may differ somewhat from person to person, but for you to say that your own, personal experience trumps any others' varied experiences is the highest form of hubris.

I don't know what it is like, but my ignorance is not proof of its non-existence. Nor is yours.

I think that this is something where you have to talk with those who feel/believe a different way in order to try to understand it, but you have to give them their own personhood, and accept that they might well feel as strongly about their internal sense of who they are as you do and as I do.
