What do women think of men crossdressing?

Some women have varied opinions on men crossdressing; some may find it intriguing and supportive, while others might feel confused or uncomfortable.

My view is clearly be found by reading my profile. At first I found it intriguing and I was very curious. Now years later its normal way of life.

Its no different then a women being a tomboy or a girly girl.

From what I found out in between marriages is the following. I will list them in my opinion from the largest group to the smallest group.

Most women don't want to be in a relationship with a crossdresser. They may have nothing against them, just don't want to be in a relationship with one.

The next group of women are those will be in a relationship with a crossdresser, but don't want to see it. You know out of sight out of mind.

The next group of women are those that don't mind seeing their partner dressed and might even give advice and go shopping with their partner but would be happier if their partner stopped crossdressing.

The smallest group of women are those are 100% supportive. They are totally for their partner expressing themselves and love to go out in public as girlfriends.

Again, this is only my opinion.

I am lucky enough to have found someone that is in the third group.

@happilymarriedguy my hat's off to you for being lucky enough to have found someone that is in the third group.
@happilymarriedguy I think that pretty much sums things up. I have a FB who doesn't care if I do or not. Doesn't do anything for her, others have no interest, and some really enjoy it.

I am that married dresser. When I first came out my wife's reaction was "as long as I don't have to see you dressed that way". And so we carried on that way. However we agreed to have an anything goes dinner at least once a month where she could ask any questions and I would be 100% honest.
Anywah some months went by and at dinner, out of nowhere, she said that she. couldn't understand why she was was so against seeing me dressed and maybe we should try it. So zi went to the bedroom and slipped on a dress - I was already wearing panties. When I went back through her first reaction was she loved the dress. And then she added that I looked pretty good in it. I thanked her and said I had others she might like and next thing I was modelling all me femme clothes. Some she complimented, some she criticised. Some wrnt back in my wardrobe, some binned. Some were "acquired: by my wife as they were a bit too small / tight for me. And I acquired some skirts that were too big for my wife.
My wife then gave me some things she didn't want me to wear. No bras. no high heels, no make up, no wigs, no jewellery. Within a week she was recommending necklaces and bangles to go with dresses. It had already been established that being only 5ft she didn't want me to be towering over her, so I wear kitten heels. And then at dinner one night she looked across and told me "you should wear a bra with that dress". Recomends of lipstick, foundation, etc followed. Her only existing red line is wigs.
Since then she has become more comfortable and supportive of my dressing. We shop together and she is now of the opinion that I have better taste when it comes to clothes. She now borrows dresses from me.
And apart from that our sex life is better than it has ever been. Her rather restricted desires, interest in sex have largely disappeared. I just wish I'd come out many years ago.

@22Michelle Everything has it's ups and downs. The men that come to me for advice. The number rule I give out, is never hide the fact that you wear. Tell them right up front in the beginning even on the first date. If they run, then you know they might not be the one

I was with one girl who did not like it.. she kept saying it changed you … years later she she ended up meeting a transgender male and realized I was the same person dressed as a woman or a man she did call and tell me that it was nice that she did that.. the next girl I was with said she had no issues with it but I seen signs that she did I tried to talk to her about it she kept saying it was fine.. we broke up she said she fell out of love with me…here’s the way I see it.. it’s just clothes it does make me comfortable I do understand if she has a concern and I’m willing to find a solution to make us both happy.. I hope I meet someone who excepts my cross dressing .

I would suspect most would be uncomfortable. Some may be ok around the house, but not out in public. I suspect it would be a small minority that were relaxed, comfortable and supportive.

The worst thing would be for a woman to get into a relationship and focused on a very focused male presentation; only to find out much later that he preferred to crossdress. That could very probably end up with women saying that was not what they were looking for in a S.O. Not to mention, feeling hurt about a secret being hidden for such a long time.

ThickMadame, that's for sure, take me for example, back when I first started to cross-dress it was something that was new and different from what I was used to, now years later it's a normal way of life, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have met very few who were ok with crossdressers. I wish more women were ok with me dressing up in feminine clothes.
SWfan · 41-45, M
@lascruces1971 that's for sure.
I respect everyone’s varying opinions on the matter. Not many women out there at least that I’ve talked to who accept it or mind it at all. I’ve talked to a few who enjoy the idea or even have fun with it ❤ I’m just gonna be me

Every era has had a lot to say about the way in which certain groups of people choose to dress. The Victorians got very exercised about women wearing trousers and other "male" clothing. New ideas can be disconcerting, but uncomfortable feelings are soon replaced by familiarity.

@SunshineGirl that's true.

I've come across several women who have enjoyed me doing it for them, have even asked if I will. I have no problems. I'm kink and fetish minded. Open to a lot of stuff.

ThickMadame, you women have it so much better when it comes to underwear then us men.
SWfan · 41-45, M
@ThickMadame yes, I do think so, I made the switch to wearing women's underwear daily over 20 years ago, as far as s men's underwear last over 20 years and women's only 5 years I don't know.
LeotardWearer · 56-60, M
@ThickMadame Yep, men's underwear is made of pretty nasty uncomfortable stuff but tough! It is crazy that women's underwear is actually far more comfortable to wear despite the different anatomy
SWfan · 41-45, M
@LeotardWearer that's for sure; I made the switch to wearing women's underwear daily over 20 years ago.
