Did you see crossdressing as a disease?

To many it controls them, over whelms them and they lose all sense of control at times.

They see womens clothing and they can't stop thinking them. They look though countless catalogs, websites, department stores and they have to buy. It becomes a compulsion and must buy.

Like someone shown me a dress a few months ago. And I can't stop thinking about this one little simple dress. I think about it about all the time. I mean it's just fabric, but boy what a gorgeous piece of fabric it is. Now, see why I call my addiction a "disease ". I would love to place this special dress into my honor collection of dresses.

I know countless genetic born women and they don't even think like this over mens clothing, but they wear it and they don't get labeled cross dresser either. But that's another story for another time.

I have gone though this kind of ”Crossdressing Disease " as I like to call it and been living with this most of my life.

Do you think like this to? Have you gone this yourself?

I'm in the early phases lol. It's not a disease, it's an interest that is fueled by its tabooness in society.

Yeah, heading to the 40 year mark of CDing. Some good, some bad history, but itself still a memory

I’ve never thought of it as a disease but I also never realized how strong the drive could be.

No, can't say that i have experienced that. Sounds like a personality trait issue. That's a guess on my part and nothing more.
I don't and I don't understand a world trying to be more open, while it's becoming more fastly closed, why it needs to be seen as a disease? If they have removed stigma from replacing STD's to STI's, they can give the same grace. But I'm cuckoo and clueless that everyone has a right to dignity while the world feels out what is a disease?

Hmmm??? I really don't think of a compulsion as a disease, regardless of the nature of the compulsion. Same if it's a negative compulsion. A disease suggests a physiological cause.

I didn’t see it as a disease unless it became an obsession. Mostly I see it as either a coping mechanism as an escape or a sensory tactile thing.

Never unless consent is broken and someone steals or secretly wears someone else's clothes. Still, a disorder would be a more fitting word than disease.

No I don't think of it as a disease. I think of it as a way of expressing myself.
