Crossdresser: Do you really know why you CD?

I been trying to figure out why I do for decades. Just a few years ago I gave up trying to find out why

I been drawn to womens clothing like its some powerful magnet, since I was little kid as a matter a fact.

I can't explain the urge to do it and I gave up trying to figure it out

When I was about 12 girls were fascinating but totally inaccessible for me. I would look at the pictures in the lingerie section of the clothes catalogue (pre-Internet days!!). This lead to picking up a pair of panties out of the laundry basket and putting them on. Absolutely mindblowing and I am sure playing with myself just re-inforced the whole thing. This was the closest to something feminine I could get to. Totally hooked for life from then on. Lots of shame, worry and questions what did this mean, what was I ?? (again pre-Internet so nobody else to talk to about it). I tried dressing fully - just looked like a bloke in a dress. After many, many years worked out that its a fetish thing for me. No disrespect to others who are in the wrong body. We all have different motivations for what we do.

@silkydrawers 100% agreed and same motivations for dressing. I wish I knew at 13 what I know now. Maybe explored more fun clothes while I was in the flush of youth !!
