Do gay men think of ships or cars etc as she?

You know peeps are always referring to ships or guns or what have you. But i wonder if that's because language is pretty much made by straight guys.

Ships are referred to as "she" because the usage was coined by straight men and this is done because they're more comfortable referring to something they find beautiful as a she. Possibly.
So i wonder if gay men would be as inclined to refer to things as "she".
