Hey it doesn’t work but if an individual choose to go through it 100% voluntarily what’s the issue?

@Ozuye502 In my opinion the only reason the LGBT person thinks they need "conversion therapy" is because they live in an intolerant society telling them that their consenting love for another consenting adult is wrong.
If the person thinks they need conversion therapy for being any of the LGBT categories, it is likely they have what's called internalized homophobia. That term comes about when the person has an internal conflict with the self mainly due to a lack of support network or being told that they have a mental disorder.
In some cases can even create hostility towards members of the LGBT community because the person in question was taught not to accept their true feelings and instead was taught that LGBT people are to be hated.

It should be practiced in all states. Freedom isn't freedom if it bans things you disagree with.

The bottom line is that freedom does not cover this. Harmful, ineffective procedures are not allowed just because people want them.
Just try going into a hospital and telling them you want some mercury to cure your headache.
Are they wrong to squelch you freedom and refuse to allow the treatment? Shit no.
Same thing here.

[quote]So you want to ban abortions because the women who get them often have mental issues?

lol this is you right now
No joe. Abortion like any procedure can have negative side effects. We don't ban things for having side effects

because some leaders, some republicans, are filled with fear and hate and bigotry and haven't joined the 21st century.

Good question.

Because we're primates, and some people in power like to use the power brain a disproportionate amount.
