About a year back discovered while online at Amazon that I was being hacked.
It Happens only when I was online, the tell-tail sign was my comment rating would go up and then down on a specific review. (Noticed it happening many times during a couple months.)
Then it dawned on me its the only way they could have done it because of the double verification system. When online is when they would try to apply their hacking skills.
*Deleted any frequently used payment method from my profile. Sure its a hassle when purchasing, but better to be safe than sorry.
*Deleted all my reviews of which there where many, dating back several years.
*Stay online at Amazon only long enough, to research the best price and place my order. Then log-off. Immediately!

I got a call from a fake IRS scam on the phone once, they claim they're from the IRS and then threaten they'll take away the house if I don't pay up. It was clearly a scam because they don't do that lol. So you can tell it's done by people clearly not from the States.

@SatanBurger I can't remember where I ran across this, but someone decided to prank them by giving his address as 1600 Pennsylvania
Avenue and a BS story about how this must have had something to do with the income he didn't report from a prostitution ring.. I almost think this was some radio personality because I can still remember the odd pronunciation he used of "Washington". Apparently he kept them going for several minutes before they realized they were being played.

That literally happened to me. The first call I picked up, I told them to go f themselves and he hung up.
The subsequent calls, I'd pick up, press 1 to talk to a representative, planning on cussing them out, only for the call to get cut off right away or shortly after interacting.
Then they started to interact with me in other subsequent calls, until I told them to get effed by a cow lol
These people really need to get the shit beaten out of them. I can only imagine how many people actually fall victim to this crap

@deadgerbil They called on my landline which is pretty much a dead giveaway since there wouldn't be any connection between that number and Amazon. They also seemed to be cloning numbers as they called from a different number within our area every time. It took her a minute to come up with a name so I assume she must have googled the number and wend down the list of names possibly associated with it and picked one.
