Open hate speech, racism, antisemitism, etc is pretty common on this site. Does anyone flag it? It seems to be allowed here. Only a few people seem outraged by it.
It’s hate speech and is not allowed, you’ll find that a lot of people don’t publicly react but will report or flag the post - those posts usually get taken down fairly quickly
@JonLosAngeles66 You’re right, because when they’re not challenged, they’re emboldened and believe they have an audience. Sadly, sometimes they do. But other times, people stay silent because they don’t want any trouble.
To report open hate speech, especially with racism, is my "speciality" and I can honestly say that the Admins cared about a lot of my reports and have cancelled a lot of those hate speeches. And at least 100 of those reported users or so have been kicked out of SW.
@ginnyfromtheblock Someone brought up Protocols of the Elders of Zion and there was a whole butt load of antisemitic twits came crawling out of the woodwork. It was eye opening for sure.
I reported the main post and a sub-post as hate speech, and I got an interesting response. It said something along the lines of "your report has been successful, the user is now blocked." Which I think means I only got a personal block against the hate speaker.
If a personal block is all we get from reporting hate speech, that's not the policy I want to see. In fact, it's kind of the opposite of the correct policy. It means the hate speech gets less opposition and is allowed to grow and spread. This is bass ackwards, @Nuno @Andrew! If I'm wrong about this, then I apologize for tagging you guys!!!
The idea that an entire ethnic group, all supporters of a political party, all religious people or all atheists, all men or all women or all people who disagree with you on a topic - are the same - is fundamentally simplistic and wrong. That error is the foundation of lots of hate and anger. Doesn't seem to stop many people here, though.
@Abstraction though most racists say that that doesn’t include them because they dont think all Jews are parasites just This group and that group, etc.
@BizSuitStacy This post is just about seeing openly racist, homophobic, antisemitic, etc talk on this site frequently and without much consequence. At least that’s my perception. ,
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say if you ban a thought you drive it underground an they may go somewhere where like minded folks hang out..maybe better to have it HERE rather than 4chan..its just a thought
@bijouxbroussard By name??? Wow thats a major TOS violation....and so very unwarranted...you're one of the mostt intelligent posters here and one of the nicest
@Fukfacewillie it’s conflicting participating here when they allow freely posting about “Parasitic Jews”. Even after multiple flags from multiple people. Are we complicit?
@JonLosAngeles66 To some extent, probably. I wonder if the Admins are not free speech advocates about the issue but sympathetic to his views. I don’t think they would permit the same hate speech about other groups.
It’s also depressing how others don’t seem to object.

No not at all ...I will use my Jew powers to put a hex on them
@canusernamebemyusername That could work as well. I like to provoke them into saying things that are offensive enough to be reported. Eventually, they catch on and block me.
I would be very careful about what you say or do against Jews. They are God's chosen people. Right now they are out of fellowship with God, but God still said that he would bless those who blessed Israel and curse those that cursed Israel. That is still in effect.
@tindrummer right now the Jewish people as a whole still reject Jesus Christ as Messiah. They are out of fellowship with God because they killed Jesus. But the time will come when they will repent and return to God and again be the apple of his eye.
It is free speech but nothing says it should be respected. I don't have to listen to it, or respect it, I am free to respond to it, even hatefully if I choose, or I can ignore them as the bigots they are. If you muzzle them you muzzle yourself. I would rather have them out in the open. They get to show you what they are and you get to choose how to deal with it.
The line between hate speech and free speech is blurred alot of times. I don't think it's truely hate speech until they start talking about hurting and using violence against groups of people. However, just because you are allowed to say something doesn't mean there won't be any consequences. If you get punched in the face or beat up for what you said, that's on you.
@LordShadowfire no just think of the person as not very bright and ignorant. If someone says a derogatory term, I think the offended should have the right to punch the person in the face without facing charges
@empanadas That’s the thing about "keyboard gangsters", though. They’re cowards who know they can’t be touched. They wouldn’t dare say anything where they might actually be punched in the nose or be otherwise held accountable.
