people being offended and trying to censor.

I dont get the thing with people where say you write a thread here on a broad topic and someone will write on it and say a very specific thing that happened to someone they know or themselves and based on that will tell you its offensive and the thread needs to be deleted and reported.

For example. I have known many to commit suicide. My best friend killed himself awhile back and I have a long family history of members committing suicide. Now based on that If i seen a thread on suicide and someone saying something i dont agree with. I am not entitled to tell that person to take the thread down because of my personal history with that subject.
Some people are so damn entitled it makes me sick.

If a subject is sensitive to you and you dont want to see it, dont go in and interact in it. Just keep scrolling down. Dont try to dictate what others can discuss.

Your example is vague enough that I don’t disagree with it (what specifically did they say about suicide that might have offended you?); however, this is a community. We have standards. In theory, there are definitely some things people could say that would only appeal to readers’ most base desires and emotions that would do more harm than good. Such posts would be in violation of our community standards and I believe they should be banned. I generally agree with SW’s TOS in this regard.

@JPWhoo its not a real thing that happened. Its just a made up example to make clear what i am talking about.
but okay to dive more into it. The parts i mentioned with my history with it is real but anyway nothing else here i mention is.
If someone wrote a thread saying we should not stop anyone from committing suicide. Something sure that many would find controversial. I dont think it matters. It is a vgue thread and not talking about a specific scenario or anyone inparticular experience in the subject.
Its that person just saying his opinion and wanting a discussion on it.
In my opinion, no one has the right to shut that down based on their own history with suicide
