Christa Pike’s failed execution is the most interesting in that,

Her life was saved when it became evident that something had gone wrong during the execution. And If she recovers, she might face a second execution, though I doubt it will happen. I have a feeling she has a brain injury or she’s braindead.

I think it's horrendous. I'm praying for her.

Her life was saved

Was it? If the ventilator is switched off, she would be dead in minutes and I understand she's in a state of coma.

When you read her back story.... I think she's been punished enough...

It was and is a horrible incident. It's also ironic that the State ordered her death and is now paying for the medical community to try to save her life.

IMO opinion the only purpose a death penalty serves is to provide some kind of revenge factor. It's pretty much proven that it is not a deterrent. There is no real need to execute anyone. I'm not trying to start a debate. That's been debated over and over again.

Ugh the legal ramifications. If her heart stopped at any point, then technically she has been executed and put to death. This should be the end of it. She has been punished enough.

Her fault, she insisted on the all female execution team at the expense of any kind of competabce or experience.

Lock n Load!
