No. I try to avoid crowds as a general preference, so it's highly unlikely I'll be the target of random violence. Even then, I have some training in disarming people in case someone does try to target me specifically.

I make it a habit to stay ready for whatever. I live in a sketchy area with lots of junkies and mental illness, so it's something always on my mind. I usually bring my dog along with me to help even whatever odds, and I regularly scan the area to look for things I can use as a weapon should the need ever arise.

@TinyViolins From the train incident and shooting incident, I'm definitely wary of crowds and random people.

I am afraid to leave the house because it’s still summer.

In all honesty it’s nuts out there and makes me wonder sometimes if I should ever leave the house. Politics violence and the rounding up of people others don’t like, it is pretty scary and sad that humans can do that to each other.

@Greyjedi
Well, if you're White or can quickly make yourself White and you wear a red hat with a matching red tie when you go shopping, then you shouldn't have any problem walking the streets of America at anytime of the day or night.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
Because I'm controversial from the messages I post, yes. But, as a public personality and a people-person (mainly), I will leave the house.

@MarkPaul
YOU, a public personality? Are you any good at it?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@swirlie I'm pretty well-known and generate a lot of strong reactions.

Okay, well at least you aren't providing passive online entertainment for nursing home residents.
WestonT · 18-21, M
I'm not, but I do live on a college campus right now. It's a sad part of modern American life that any time I'm crossing the quad or in a classroom I sometimes consider that a gunman could open fire at any minute.
SwampFlower · 31-35, F
I’m not afraid for myself but I’m terrified for my kids.
Therealsteve · 31-35, M
Unfortunately that is the fear that leftists wish to instil. You must have an iron will of resistance.
ShenaniganFoodie · 36-40, M
I don't live in the United States, it's not a problem in my country
step 1.
get out of the over populated areas..
House? Lolz. No house.
Did you know that up until the nineties we instantly recognized fascism because of the social austerity - no welfare system - alongside wars of aggression?
You can keep your fascism. You are keeping it m

The left is getting bold again. Time to put them in their place again.

The world is getting so polarized that we forgot to see the humanity in people. It's only going to get worse
