How much money do the worlds top drug-dealers make?
I was told that the top-end of the Columbian-Latin American illegal narcotic bosses can make up to million dollars(U.S currently)a day from the drug trade.Is this true?

FYI - I saw a video on drug smuggling on history channel recently. While they didn't specify income levels of anyone specific, the amount of drugs being caught at the border would suggest that they could indeed be making big money as you suggested.

I have heard that the big cartels have money in the billions. They are now a force to be reckoned with, with money and power greater than that of any one country, if combined. We don't even dare to make war on them because they hide in plain sight, among innocent and not so innocent people, in countries whom they hold hostage.

@DavidT8899 Yes. The cartels have woven themselves into the fabric of our lives, here, just as they have in the countries of their origin. The ONLY thing we can do is get really tough on crime.
