are you for real there is no such thing as a British accent Britain is three countries England Scotland and Wales which all have different accents and even languages so keep your thoughts to yourself until you have had a conversation with all the British people sounds like you are probably from the outback who has never left your state let alone the country
There are hundreds of accents in Britain, from the Hebridean to the Shetland, the Doric of Buchan to the broad West Country English, the Beautiful Geordie, blunt Yorkshire to the clipped Kent and 'apples and pears' of East End London. All are different. To me, the worst is Essex or the contrived south coast and the best is sing-song Welsh or broad Hereford.
Define "British accent" Where I used to live in the coal mining valleys of South Wales, I could tell by the accent of the guy in the nearest shop that he wasn't from my village, he was from the next village up on the hill, barely a mile away. That's how localised the accents are here. I suspect that you may have become confused with 'BBC English'
For 30-years, I’ve had nothing but compliments about my accent. It’s been so long that I don’t notice it, so I’m always surprised when people say, “I love your accent.”
If, as you say, "British" accents are so bad, why do you keep watching "British"shows and listening to "British" accents? Why put yourself through that "agony" ? Looks like the you re the one who's "mentally ill".
@Ferise1 You said to 200t00 : " I haved lived in Switzerland most of my life and watch British shows". You clearly don't know the difference between the two, then. Which British shows do you watch? Which American shows do you watch? And do you agree someone from Sydney has a different accent to someone from Adelaide?
@BluntSm0ker so why use the term that you did, in reference to a class of car you obviously dislike? Loving your other observations though. I paid my mortgage off before reaching the age of 30, and now own a chocolate - box detached cottage on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. Which is in Britain but isn't in England, maybe you need to revise your understanding of what the UK actually is. Out of interest, how do you think the number of acid attacks and stabbings in the UK compare to firearms fatalities in Murica? Go on, I'm intrigued. I'll give you an advantage for your stance in the statistics, you can *combine* all UK acid and knife attacks, versus *solely* US firearm fatalities. I'm fascinated.
