The teacher asked the class to use the word “fascinate” in a sentence.
Molly raised her hand and said, “The stars are fascinating!”
The teacher replied, “That’s close, Molly, but I wanted the word ‘fascinate’.”
Then Billy tried: “I was fascinated by the magic trick!”
“Again, very good, Billy,” the teacher said, “but that is ‘fascinated.’ Who can use the word ‘fascinate’?”
Reluctantly, she called on Little Johnny.
Johnny smiled and said, “My sister has a new jacket with ten buttons, but she's grown so fast that she can only fasten eight!”
