Riddle me this!

A farmer has to take his goat, wolf and bale of hay across a river. His boat is small, so he can only take 1 thing at a time! If he leaves the goat with the wolf, the wolf will eat the goat! If he leaves the goat with the hay, the goat eats the hay! How does he get them all across??

Bring goat across. Comes back and brings hay, but brings goat back. Leaves goat. Brings wolf across. Comes back to get goat, and brings it across; joining the hay and wolf.

@QCDog2659 did you Google it?

@Fullmetal No. I just figured it out.

1. Bring the goat across the river leaving the hay with the wolf.
2. Return and get the hay and brings it across. Picks up goat and returns leaving the hay.
3. Drops off the goat and picks up the wolf. Brings the wolf across and drops it off with the hay.
4. Returns for the goat and brings it across.

I heard this as a kid but it was a head of lettuce, a rabbit and a fox.

Put the goat on the other side.

Pick up the wolf. Put the wolf on the other side.

Pick up the goat from that same side and bring it back.

Pick up the hay. Leave it with the wolf.

Then you can finally pick up the dang goat.

Idk why. But my concern would be for the goat.

By taking the goat onboard. Leave the wolf with the hay. Wolves don't like hay.
