@SW-User Well I'll talk about religion in whatever context I like, that's my right, I'm afraid. If it offends someone then that is literally their problem, not mine. I'm offended every time someone insults my intelligence by trying to tell me God exists, but I don't make a song and dance about it, I just accept that is their choice to believe whatever they want to.

Personally I don't disagree with the quote you've posted. Religions do give people comfort and solace. They also cause wars and incredible suffering. Just because religions sometimes do some good for people doesn't mean it's something people can't or shouldn't mock.

@sleepyhead People cause wars, understand that please. Religion is also a construct of people. I think I need to quote Pink Floyd here, 'you think you can tell heaven from hell, blue skies from rain, cold comfort to change.'

And if it's your right to speak in whatever context, then it's equally mine to say something different to you.

@SW-User People cause wars because of religious beliefs, that is a fact, as opposed to a belief. you can quote as many scholars, poets, songwriters or philosophers as you like, nothing changes facts.

Now now... you try and speak in riddles that try to sound like proverbs! A toaster oven is quite fine.
