I do wonder about rising costs and groceries are a great example. But, the answer isn’t really just Trump.
Employers have to pay more now just to incentivize people to work. That cost does increase the cost to shop across the board. Sometimes, the best you can do is to choose where you shop. I have a Stop & Shop just minutes away. I do try to avoid it simply because its prices are very high. There’s a Market Basket that’s 25 minutes away. Although inconvenient, if I’m shopping for two weeks of groceries, it may save me more than $100.
If I’m ordering food, I’ll pick it up. I refuse to use the likes of companies like Door Dash. They take too much away from the profitability of small restaurants. If everyone turns to Door Dash, or the like, restaurants are forced to raise prices further to cover their losses.
