Does this image creep you out at all?

This may sound like a silly question but someone shared this image online and at first I was like whatever cute girl but then I found out about really creepy theories surrounding this image.

Theories such as this girl is actually a corpse and has been posed for this photo and her face glued to this expression indications being her unnaturally pale skin and a facial expression consisting of a really forced looking smile and sort of dead looking non expressive eyes.

And what made this more weird is that no one knew this girl or who she was there was literally just this one random pic of her seemingly in the middle of nowhere out in the snow all by herself with no one else around. No other pics of her at all.

I don't know how true any of this is or if questions have been answered or not but after reading this I do find the image sort of creepy.

And I don't know if it's a psychological thing but if I look at her face for longer than a few seconds it kinda seems like the imagine is moving and her smile is growing and she's smiling at me. Like going from a forced small smile to a genuine bigger happy smile.

This is probably all ridiculous but I'm curious what you guys think.

@Gibbon Oh yeah sarcasm through text can be extremely hard to convey properly. Especially if someone (like me) already struggles socially in real life online it's even worse since you have less clues since it's just text and no facial expressions or body language.

it doesn't creep me out at all she looks fine and it is winder just because theres woods on one side of the photo doesn't mean there is on there other besides those are very sparse woods why all the creepy stories.. she's pretty looks like a lot of the asian actresses on the asian series on netflix

@GoFish Yeah the background is kinda creepy but not her herself. The internet loves creepy stories I suppose. But yeah she's very pretty. She's pretty much just a cute conventionally attractive Asian girl. If she was put in a more cheerful background like one with a lot of people perhaps the image would completely lose creepiness.

@GoFish I think the creepy part is it's just sort of a weird random place to take a pic. A place most people usually wouldn't. Especially a woman out by herself which in some places can be dangerous. 🙄

@Ashly Oh yeah I have actually sort of heard about what kind of bears are the most dangerous. Seems like it's something like black bears are the least dangerous then brown bears in the middle and white bears the worst of all; the white ones because of the location they live will actually actively go out of their way to kill humans unlike most other animals.

And yeah! We've researched bears probably over thousands of years at this point but human like robots are a new thing. Yeah the fear of them replacing us is mostly science fiction but then there's the thought of what if it actually DID happen. With technology getting more advanced and AI now it doesn't seem 0% impossible.

A specific one I used to find creepy was "Tara the Android I Feel Fantastic" perhaps don't look it up if you're about to sleep which by now I'm desensitized to it and actually find it kinda funny but it gave me nightmares the first time I saw it.

She's smiling posing while showing off a landscape. No, I don't think there is anything odd here. Light reflects off the snow on the ground to whiten her skin further.

But I've seen more pale skin in real life so... Nothing here worth thinkinf about.

@twistedrope Yeah that makes perfect sense actually. People on the internet just love to make innocuous stuff creepy...which can sometimes be funny or entertaining but other times is just a bit much.

And yeah in real life I've seen both really pale skin and both really dark brown skin. There's no such thing really as too pale or too dark.

Could be dead. Image is "off". Thought just AI - but something is "wrong" in the face, particularly in the eyes. I could explain more, but I don't want to alarm anyone.

@Magicianzini I believe this pic is older than when AI became prominent (around 2022 I believe). Using a reverse search the oldest version of this pic found is from 2019 which is before AI took over the internet.

Yeah what you're saying are common observations. It's why this image became discussed online. With the eyes in specific I think it could be because she's smiling with her mouth but not her eyes.

I don't mind if you explain more personally as that's why I made this post but if you don't wanna explain for respect of others outside of me then I understand lol.

I won't say much, but do yourself a big favor and don't look at the face too long.. as in longer than about 2 seconds. Any longer than that? Don't do it as it is a threat to you (or anyone who does).

@Magicianzini Oh yeah I low-key found that out the hard way. The longer I look at the face the more uneasy I get. So I won't anymore. Lol.
