If you use SW just to pass your down time, how do you deal with the negative/ doom and gloom posts?

I have a lot of people blocked at this point. :) Can't handle overly religious or political posts anymore.

Avoid the things you don’t like. Simple as. Same as you would in real life

Block everyone

I don't take on other people's negativity or grief as my own. That's not a healthy thing to do. I can be compassionate but I'm not a grief vampire. Some people absorb everything they read and they destroy themselves with it. To truly be of use to anyone who is miserable or in pain you need to be able to keep your own head above the water. No use trying to save a drowning person if you're drowning yourself.

It's all part of the experience. If needed, I'll try to be supportive. If it's just screaming for attention with obviously fake drama, I'll scroll on.

I usually ignore them unless it is something I can relate to. If so, I offer a word of encouragement or something that could possibly lift their spirits.

Depends on the topic. If I have something helpful and positive to add then I will.

Keep your interactions to least of people and block those who just make hatful posts about others.

I actually try to see something positive in such posts. 😎

I don't expect constant sunshine and rainbows but if a user is always pessimistic I'll just ignore them

I have doom and gloom moments too, but I try to stay on the positive and usually just post jokes and things I find funny.

I try to find someone interesting to chat with to pass the time. I enjoy a good chat but avoid the drama whenever possible.

With a few grains of salt .. sometimes on the rim of a shot glass of tequila with a lime wedge in hand 😎

Ignore... There will always be those who rather look down at their feet than up at the stars

I don't engage with anything I don't want to.

I usually just scroll past.

I write more of them..

I tend to skip over those.

Ignore and scroll.
If I see the same types of posts I dislike from the same user, I mute.

I scroll past them - as I do to posts that are blatantly attention-seeking,or frankly lurid.

i think they can be fun as well, just in a different, caring way.

Just skip those posts

Too much doom and gloom/negative in my vision and I leave. I won't try to work around it or pretend I don't see it.

I try to cheer people up where I can. Sometimes I can't.
