I never thought of this before, but in any given country the states that are closer to the capital

…Do they feel like they have to behave more? Like they’re under pressure?

Like Texas, they think of themselves as pretty independent

And Sydney and Melbourne are pretty tense, but the Gold Coast is a lot more liberated.

Around London is a small and extremely wealthy reguon referred to as the "Home Counties" which seem very far removed socially and economically from the rest of the country.

The area around Washington DC is a cesspool. There are many super rich people but they have homeless and crime just like any big city
And the mainframe is virus enabled
