Just a random thought

I couldn't sleep so I was reading *very* bad erotica. In it, she was participating in a bondage scene and talking about how the scene was going to finally make her into a true submissive.

Why do you think people still think that bondage = D/s? And how on earth will kink turn her into a submissive?

It won't some of the things you read are just what people think about the lifestyle.... You're either a submissive or you're not... You're either Dominant or you're not....

You're either vanilla or you're kinky....

The lifestyle just let's you be what you are ... The lifestyle let's you become noticed of what you are and let's be with like minded people....

a great comment.. nothing tarnished D/s like the horrible movies of 50 shades of grey. One is either dominant or submissive - one cannot be "made" to be either.. Plus it sends a crappy message that with enough of something (leverage or whatever" that one will submit. a good dominant draws out the submissive in a person by their strength and confidence.. a submissive is one who is strong, but chooses to give up control. A dominant will cherish that, and prove he deserves it..

Cause it will teach her how to truly let got and submit completely

Okay just my own random thought about this maybe you said person needs someone in their life to control every aspect of what they do and what they enjoy and what they share because it makes them feel safe and gives them a state of content that they enjoy so they allow said person to be dominated over them and they submit out of your pleasure to be controlled and feel that safety

She probably already was a submissive. Maybe she will now be owned. Depends upon their dynamic.
Nicole07152005 · 18-21, F
@Jonjdw I think so too

Pretty sure it’s flair for the writing. As if introspection the character is somehow deeper than it actually is. It’s a writing tool to keep anyone unfamiliar with it interested, and seeming taboo…

fifty shades did a horrible job explaining lifestyle to people for sure...

@sfish007 horrible

I guess some people require symbology to make things official? That or a very bad understanding of what it means to be a submissive. Quite possibly a combination of both.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@ViciDraco Exactly. You can be a dom and sometimes be dominated and still be a dom.
Sapio · 51-55, M
She already shows traits of being submissive, maybe? Idk
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
That's just what the normies think goes on in the community. Nothing new there.
