A 90 year old man who escaped from a care home to celebrate a 70th D-Day anniversary is going to be made into a film馃檪
Bernard Jordan a Royal Navy officer who took part in the landings was advised against attended on health grounds and was reported missing the following day at the care home. He turned up in France in his best suit to commemorate those lost.
He passed shortly afterwards but care staff and family said his no-nonsense attitude meant there was no way he was going to miss a chance to remember his lost friends, even if it killed him. Micheal Cain will be playing him in a film portraying his final adventure.
