If you had a choice, which vaccine would you go for...

Moderna, Pfizer, AstraZeneca or Johnson & Johnson?
I had the Oxford vaccine and got very poorly. I'd prefer not to have any vaccines and live in the woods alone forever 😌
@JustGoneNow Exactly!
I’m glad I got Pfizer. I’d take it if I had the choice of all of them.

Whatever was available, wouldn't worry me.
Gangstress · 41-45, F
if honest, I don't know the difference in any of them :(
DrBenway · 61-69, M
@Gangstress good luck with that
Gangstress · 41-45, F
@DrBenway but what does it all mean
helenS · 36-40, F
@Gangstress The mechanism that is used to protect you is different. The efficiency is the same – I can't say anything about J&J though.

Moderna & Pfizer. Actually, Health Canada has approved mixing the first and second shot with Moderna & Pfizer. That will probably happen in my case on Friday when I'm getting my second shot.
Royrogers · 61-69, M
I am under the impression that one has been widely used so hopefully any problems may have been identified by now.
DrBenway · 61-69, M
@Royrogers if you're over a certain age, the damage these vaccines do to RNA won't matter.....if not, adverse (or maybe deliberate) consequences could take years to kick in

I had the moderna and had absolutely no side effects.
DrBenway · 61-69, M
@jackson55 yet....
jackson55 · M
@DrBenway It’s been months ago, nothing has fallen off yet 😉
Phizer or Moderna. I wouldn't feel good about neither AstraZenaca nor Johnson & Johnson.
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
Johnson & Johnson for the sole reason that it's a single dose vaccine

Got the Johnson and Johnson one back in April. Happy it was only one shot.

nothing for me so far.......I would go for a normal vaccine... not a viral vector...... all these jabs are not 'vaccines' the are a new kind of medication called 'viral vectors'... nothing like traditional vaccines... so therefor... i'll wait for a normal inactivated vaccination. so im not having any until then. im happy to stay unvaccinated I am not scared one bit about catching covid.

Either Pfizer or Moderna which ever one was available.

Am thankful for Morderna I got
I would go for MUCHO research on why the BIG DISEASE was created and releaased on the public in the first place.

@Elevatorpitches probably to spoil the Japanese Olympics.
@DrBenway well I think it was to thin out certain unwanted populations
smiler2012 · 56-60
@DrBenway i suppose in the great scheme of things it does not matter as they all do precisely the same thing

Pfizer. AstraZeneca doesn't work for the South African strain. And we had a contamination of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Pfizer seems to be the most reliable.

Got my first with Moderna and hopefully get the same next week...

Pfizer or Moderna. I would prefer the MRNA vaccine.
Pfizer - it's the most studied and it's been shown to be fairly effective against Covid variants alpha, beta, gamma, & delta - the main variants of concern. After that I'd take Moderna - probably identical to Pfizer but not as much has been produced or studied. After that, any western nation two dose vaccine.

The ones to avoid: China & Russia vaccines. Both countries have had to have shutdowns of vaccinated cities to control outbreaks - proof their homegrown vaccines aren't effective enough.
