Well, do you think that doing research can have variables that impact the results? Contextually, when you notice a study is a street study, do you think that such a social climate could have an impact on behavior? 👀

Because girls tend to literally be less funny in public for quite a set of rational reasons. The amount of common creeps, stalkers, and unwanted attention they get (not to mention the added threat of your off-chance kidnappings that happen on occasion) would definitely make women naturally more reserved and closed off from being so openly inviting to strangers in public spaces. Such an insecurity would understansably suppress someone's humor until they feel safe around you, and the whole point of a street interview like that is to catch people off guard, randomly on the streets.

I don’t know. Really depends on what your sense of humor is. IRL I have a tactfully sarcastic, typically gallows humor. It’s not for everyone. I also enjoy dry humor and banter. I think the average guy has a crude sense of humor and enjoys that type of humor more than the average woman.

Statistically there are more male comedians than female, a stat that kind skews the data right there. There have been some great female comedians that rank higher on my list than many men. The late great Joan Rivers comes to mind. I still miss her. @SW-User @Darksideinthenight2

I think I've only seen one female comedian and it was really bad. There was just something wrong in the way she was saying jokes. It looked forced. On the other hand, I'm not a fun of comedians in general and there are many poor male ones too, many of them are just vulgar and crass instead of showing some smart humour.
Really, a person gets to meet only a few genuinely funny people out there and personally, I wouldn't search for them among professional comedians.

Hm. I agree it is far fetched. Rivers was the last bastion of that “old school” entertainer that was unapologetic and likely would have withstood cancel culture had she lived. I find it odd though that the video keeps vanishing. Not surprising. Just odd that they would keep deleting it. I mean if there is no truth to what she was saying then why would anyone care, or go to such lengths to remove it? @graphite
