Now, lol I would actually purchase a tiny home. They range from 11k-60k
Nimbus · M
Can't get much smaller, Dorset, England.

Nimbus · M
@cherokeepatti I think so, can't get much closer :)
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Nimbus There is a guy who lives in a dumpster.
Nimbus · M
@MrBrownstone There's always one ;)

Absolutely. Idc about how much money I make. I don't want to take a lot of space ,as it's not an essential need. It's also more responsibility to maintain.
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
They’re pretty cool but no I couldn’t do it.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
If I was in a situation where it was just me and I needed to save money on utilities and maintenance yes it could be an option. People in general used to live in much smaller homes than they do now. They might buy a small home when they were first starting out and then save up to enlarge and build on to it as their family expanded.

I've got a small house (like 800 square feet) and that's decent for my wife and I. Also cheap as hell. I think we go smaller you get into expectation vs reality stuff
@CountScrofula where do you find an 800sq home? In the south?
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@starbucksgirly I live in rural Canada in Alberta, a bunch of houses similar to mine were built for military officers upon their retirement in the 1930s.

So it's old without being glamorous but in good enough condition, and importantly $420 a month mortgage. That said I live in a VERY small community so this isn't like, accessible to most people we need small cheap residences in cities.
fun4us2b · M
That looks like fun to me...would probably need a storage unit or throw out a truckload of stuff though...
pdockal · 56-60, M
Only if i had lots of land around it in a very peaceful unpopulated area & work space
would die from claustrophobia.
@saragoodtimes thats all in the mind. Live a little
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@saragoodtimes Same. And annoyance. You have to keep it uncluttered at all times, otherwise there's nowhere to move.
braveheart21 · 61-69, M
I live in a house of around 180 sq living feet... I love it
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
This is probably the future of social housing.

You could mass produce millions of them using weatherproof materials.
Self-assemble flat pack for a few hundred quid change housing laws to enable folk to set one up in their back garden and rent them out to their kids who can't afford to either rent or buy
I would love one for my shoes 👠 lol
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Hell no, I hate small confined spaces where I have to put something away first before doing another activity. Like those beds that you have to unfold first instead of just slumping down whenever you feel like it. I'd hate those.
shakemeup · 36-40
I'd rather have a tiny house than a big house.
I also think a tiny house would be nice if you live in a warm or mild climate. Because you have the outdoors as part of the living space which is cool.
Offthetop · 51-55, M
I have one in my back yard that I rent out. It is 350 sq ft (32.5 sq m). I have a property for retirement where I plan to build one about twice that size to live in.
Monday40 · 51-55, F
Since I am single I would love the first one. It looks like a small apartment.
NaturallyMe · 22-25
I think I could do it. There are some really nice ones now
Those are probably still going for a million+ where I live 😒
Pretzel · 61-69, M
I'm claustrophobic, sadly
@Pretzel I could do it. I'd just open the windows. It'd be better than renting some crappy house.
Pretzel · 61-69, M
@Spoiledbrat that's true
Tonydang · M
I definitely will as long as you don’t have kids
Khenpal1 · M
depends, how much time you spend in it.
exchrist · 31-35
The bottom one for sure! On how much land?
On a somewhat remote property, I'd be all over it.
Yes it’ll be fine for just me for a few years.
Rokan · 31-35, M
Id just get a 5th wheel if i was going that route
Cantsayno · 56-60, M
If I lived alone? Absolutely!!!!
dale74 · M
I could see using one as a pool house
DefNotTravelguy · 41-45, M
I just got the opposite of that lol
InHeaven · F
Ya, why not. Looks great
Lilymoon · F
If I lived alone sure.
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
Ive thought about it
Selah ·
The first one is so me.
Tahitiangrandma · 61-69, F
No way at all
BuzzedLightyear · 61-69
in a heartbeat
Babaloo64 · 41-45, M
Musicman · 61-69, M
They are super cute, but way to small to actually live in.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Musicman tiny homes vary by size. A 400-square foot one is about the size of an efficiency apartment except they usually seem bigger due to the extra features like storage features an efficient use of space. Also some have a nice porch to have outdoor living.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti Our motorhome has about 400 sq ft with the slides out. 🙂
