Waterbeds - yay or nay?

Matt85 · 36-40, M
all good until you accidently pop it
@Matt85 That’s the other thing.

@bijouxbroussard Especially if you have a cat that likes making biscuits.

I don't recommend them just like I would not recommend those memory foam mattresses for a simple reason.

Both types mattresses mold around your body and when you want to turn around at night to change position, you need to exercise a much stronger force with your body to change position and for either the water or the foam to give way. Thus, you wake up much easier because of the force needed to change position.

Finally, the waterbed needs to be plugged in the mains at all time to avoid the water getting cold. Just imagine what would happen if you have the power out for a longer period of time. You will be freezing in your bed.

Most definitely!!!!! I had one for 30 years and I loved it.
Nay. I’d have to pee all the time.

DEFINITELY yay!!

Nay. They were just a fad that everyone quickly realized didn’t really work long-term, lol.

@Ducky what was the issue with them?
Ducky · 31-35, F
@darknessprevails They’re very high maintenance, they’re not good for your back and they’re very fragile. They were a terrible idea to begin with, really.

I still want to try one one day...

Seems silly
Nay all day.
Nay…although today’s models are probably made better than earlier ones, when it was still a fairly new idea. When I first started dating my late husband, he had one. It felt like a tidal wave whenever either of us moved—or breathed. 😳
