seems to me like people would be dying to live there

We once looked at a house for sale on a lake in Rockland. It was a lovely property, the land sloping down to the water, and the price was very affordable, even for us. Unfortunately, it was right across the street from a huge cemetery. The iron gate was open and right across the street from the house's driveway.

ALL I could think of was all the effluvia of thousands of bodies flowing down that slope over the decades into that lake.
Nimbus · M
@4meAndyou Wow, scary ;)
eyeno · M
If I had no other options aside from being homeless, sure I've no problems.
Its not the dead that I'm afraid of, its the living.

Nimbus · M
@eyeno Yea, the living can be more creepy :)
eyeno · M
@Nimbus definitely right....encountered a Spirit once while staying at a friends overnight.
Had to use the restroom in the middle of the night, after rising to my feet no matter where I turned in the room it appeared in my field of vision.
Told the Spirit in a commading voice to leave and it did knowing I have God within !
Was I afraid No, but I was astonished that I've a gift that not everyone has.
Nimbus · M
@eyeno Wow! 😲
nedkelly · 61-69, M
Better than living in Liverpool
Nimbus · M
@nedkelly I can't argue with that Ned :)
damselfly · 100+, F
@nedkelly Liverpool is lovely! I went there two weeks ago - stayed in the Chinatown area and loved it
Dacodix · 26-30, F
My road and all the houses on the opposite side of mine are built on a huge roman necropolis.... it's the most expensive place to have a house... lol
Nimbus · M
@Dacodix Oh my!
theAlchemist · 56-60, M
At least the neighbors are very quiet..........
Nimbus · M
@theAlchemist That's true :)
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
No i.wouldnt
Nimbus · M
@Eddiesolds Me neither :)
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
@Nimbus Its just way too big.lol
Couldn’t they just move the head stones and leave the graves? 😆
Nimbus · M
@stratosranger Now that would just spoil the horror :)
@Nimbus “Our daughter is trapped in the TV and a small medium is at large in our home telling her to go into the light. Aside from that, football season is starting soon. Something to look forward to.”
Nimbus · M
@stratosranger A typical scenario in many homes :)
Elessar · 26-30, M
I don't know how it works over there, but over here that would almost certainly qualify as an illegal construction and by buying it you're buying a massive legal burden.
Nimbus · M
@Elessar It's not common but it does happen.
Nimbus · M
@cherokeepatti Ditto :)
deadgerbil · 26-30, M
Sure but I won't not be taking care of all that grass. Too much work
Nimbus · M
@deadgerbil Good point :)
deadgerbil · 26-30, M
@Nimbus imagine trimming all that and having to go around tombstones
Nimbus · M
@deadgerbil Yep, I'd buy artificial grass!
MissTaken · 36-40, F
Nah - I’ll stick to where I know 🙂

MissTaken · 36-40, F
@Nimbus Haha - the Turkeys are round the back by the way 🙂
Nimbus · M
@MissTaken I should hope so as you don't want to disturb the people in front!
MissTaken · 36-40, F
@Nimbus You got it 😂😂
SW-User
I would love to, but only if noone visits the graves, or the ones who do are very quiet.
Nimbus · M
@SW-User I guess it would be quiet especially at night :)
chrisCA · M
The neighbors would be quiet, and you could have fun with it at Halloween.
Nimbus · M
@chrisCA There's almost a positive side to everything :)
AbbeyRhode · F
@Nimbus Too creepy. Would you live there?
Nimbus · M
@AbbeyRhode True :)
Nope, looks cold :)
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@Nimbus You live in England and that place in cold 😀
craig7 · 70-79, M
No,we prefer shrubs and flowers in the front garden.
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
could throw some awesome Halloween parties in the yard... 🤔
Nimbus · M
Mrjingleswilly · 51-55, M
Yeah. What’s a house without a few ghosts?
Nimbus · M
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
They should be smart and buy it and turn into a haunted attraction make the money back
Nimbus · M
@Justmeraeagain That's an idea :)
Japrost · 41-45, M
Adam's family
Nimbus · M
@Japrost Ideal buyers :)
Japrost · 41-45, M
@Nimbus yes
ihurtmychin · 26-30, M

Nimbus · M
smiler2012 · 61-69
{@nimbus] 😆you would have grave reservations nimby over that
Nimbus · M
@smiler2012 True but as quiet as the Kop when beaten by United 😆
smiler2012 · 61-69
@Nimbus 😆 crow nimby and enjoy the moment you have not come to anfield yet .promise this years the scousers will not pinch the united team buses wheels😆. after united last visit to anfield it rather stopped them getting away from anfield with there tail between there legs😆
ArishMell · 70-79, M
At least those neighbours won't be noisy!

To be honest it's not living next to (I doubt over) a number of graves that might be the problem, but whatever restrictive legal covenants and responsibilities there may be on the house and land.
Freeranger · M
This will sound idiotic but....I'd have a hard time drinking the water if the house came with a private well. Looks like a good private abode for the horror writer though...
Nimbus · M
@Freeranger Good point :)
Morbid yet apt! @Freeranger
Nimbus · M
Nimbus · M
@V00doo Good luck :)
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
Nah I prefer to be buried, not live in a house after death.
Nimbus · M
Lilnonames · F
Id b ok with it
Nimbus · M
@Lilnonames Good to hear.
