Looks clean and sharp. I like the reed plant (if it's real) on the sink. If it's plastic, that's a serious problem. I don't like the shower curtain over the window. I suppose if it's looking into the neighbouring building or house it's a pragmatic solution although I recommend using vinyl or metal window casings and frosted glass windows. The extra toilet paper roll left on top of the tank to collect dust is troubling. Presentation: B+
@MarkPaul I do have frosted glass on the window but I don't want water hitting the wood window frame. I don't usually have an extra roll of toilet paper.
Kitchens are a bigger task than I thought. I started hanging our cabinets and about a quarter of the way through I ended up hiring a guy with a crew to finish. I did my part well, but finishing was a task. 🫡
@calicuz Lol, I was thinking about doing it myself, but thank god I'm not. Just looking at the diagrams and talking to the cabinet maker, there are a ton of things I haven't thought about in the installation. I think it would be a nightmare for me. I not naturally handy.
@MartinTheFirst Ya I thought of that, but I think this is the best idea. The window is frosted and I often move the curtain and open the window in the summer when I'm not showering.
@JimboSaturn From personal experience I can tell you that any flood water that ends up on the bathroom floor will end up inside the burner unit of your furnace before it even starts to migrate out into the hallway on your main level.
The water will end up flowing down the hot air register which is located on the bathroom floor and which is also the lowest point on that floor where a floor drain would normally be located if one were installed.
Because that floor register is below the height of the door sill leading into your bathroom, a bathroom flood would go undetected until the water ended up inside the burner unit of the furnace. This is because the water would go down the register before it could get deep enough to climb over any door sill or carpet edge.
@swirlie I don't ever really have a problem with my toilet overflowing. In such cases, when I notice, it's not draining right, I turn off the water to the toilet and then use the plunger. It has never got to the point where the water overflows that much.
