What is your St. Patrick’s day tradition?

My family loves the food. I bake some Irish soda breads, and have a great recipe for corned beef and vegetables.

Being an American of German, Sicilian, and English heritage I watch all the Irish get drunk (No great change there), and I had to try green beer once to see if I peed green (That did not happen). And I am not a Catholic. So, I do not do much about St. Patrick's Day.

To ignore it totally.

until almost 5 years ago, celebrated my father's birthday

I make corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes.

30 years ago the wife and I would go out to eat and get some green beer. These days we just stay home and avoid the crowds.

I usually wear green and spend a few moments thinking about my Irish ancestors.

Think about the unnecessary drunkenness with absolute distain.

To wear black. No one will touch me anyway! 🙃😊
