Weird time of the year

It’s Christmas time and everything feels bright woth lights, decorations, and the stores are full of useless stuff . I want to feel happy and excited like everyone else, but feel really unsure. A lot happens in my life, and it’s honestly scary.
I’m trying to stay hopeful, but some days that’s hard. I don’t know what’s next, and that makes me nervous. Still, I’m doing my best to believe things will be okay, even if I don’t feel ready yet.

It's a weird time for sure. I think more people are struggling than not and many are hiding it behind the good cheer or trying to distract themselves with it. It personally feels darker to me this year, but I saw more decorations going up early and more people having them this year than the last couple years so it feels weird. Like more people have the Christmas spirit despite the year feeling so much worse
