Are your Christmas decorations still up?

Or when do they normally come down?

@MissNoahLenFoxx takes some time

Oh yes.

Twelfth Night and not a day beyond, for tarrying beyond that will bring bad luck. So 'tis said.

I was a bit late this year by not putting my few decorations up until Christmas Eve, instead of my usual three or four days beforehand; but I am not one for putting them up in mid-Autumn then tearing them down in haste on Boxing Day as some seem wont to do!

Mine will come down on New Year's Day, before I go back to work
crew will be here Tuesday to start taking everything down

Used to take them down on Twelth Night but recently 2nd or 3rd January. Let’s face it, it is all over by then!

Yep. I hope to get help from kids and grandkids after tomorrow.

I only have a cactus tree. That'll come down after New years.

I just took down my Halloween decorations.
6th January they come down. It's still Christmas until then
@V00doo any reason that date, the 6th?
@sstronaut Im Greek Orthodox. We traditionally celebrate when the kings give Jesus the gifts. Obviously we celebrate on the 25th December because we live in the UK, but it's a huge celebration in Greece and Cyprus.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@V00doo Interesting! The English traditional equivalent for many is the 5th (Twelfth Night) but probably having the same root - in fact the name suggests the day of the 6th being correct.

This year, I went with one of those lazy all-purpose decorations for the front of the house. It's got slides for every major holiday of the year.

Now, inside, it's definitely still Christmas, but I'll be putting that away shortly.
Ours are still in the boxes waiting to go up. At least it saves taking them down.
