I don't see why we can't normalise paying someone's bills for Christmas. Much more useful than shit you don't need.

I used to help handpick the Christmas packages for the employees of my parents' company. We always made sure everything in there was functional and got consumed. There's nothing worse than gifting someone stuff they won't make use of.

@TheGreatLeveler Hence why toys are the worst thing ever for Christmas gifts. I stopped doing christmas cards altogether about 5 yrs ago, and my adult kids just get a little 'cash injection' as their christmas gift. My 6 y/o is heavily Santa-ised and very influenced by youtube mormon influencer family videos but I haven't had a christmas tree for over 10 yrs and instead I have a bit of galvanised pipe as a 'festivus pole'. Christmas should be about family and good food. This year I don't have my daughter for Christmas day so I'll probably just opt to work and let someone else who does have their kids on that day have it off otherwise I'll be at home by myself.
