I absolutely love it. I get dressed up and I have this big plastic witches cauldron that I fill with candy. The kids who come to my door just love when I pull the candy out of the cauldron. I kind of make a big deal of it for them. They’re so cute

It's for the kids and they love it. I buy a big tin of Cadbury roses chocolates and if any come to the door they get a handful.

For me, it's a children's holiday. I enjoyed it as a child.
And when our daughter was little, it was a lot of fun.
Nowadays, our neighborhood no longer has little children living here, so we get very few trick or treaters.
So it is largely a non-event for us now, although I think of it positively.
And while I am Christian, I was not brought up to think of it as evil. After all, where does one draw the line about that? The days of the week are named after pagan gods. Should I refuse to utter the word "Thursday" because it is named after Thor?

@DrWatson I was brought up in the Catholic Church. No one taught me that Halloween was evil, or that Santa Claus was monitoring my every move. I just used my imagination to fill in the gaps that adults would not explain as logically as I could. I soon became a very anxious child 🥺

@SunshineGirl My mother caved in and told me there was no Santa because I was asking so many questions!

No I can’t stand it lol 😂

Since my daughter has grown up, it's not really an event I participate in. I like the season though, I watch scary movies and enjoy the decorations.

It’s for the kids. I loved it when I was a kid. Got a banana hoodie last year. My daughter would give out candy then I would come out in my banana hoodie and give out bananas. They would laugh and liked the bananas more than the candy lol.

It’s supposed to be All Hallows Eve, but everything goes a bit screwy when arrives on the far side of the Atlantic.

@WintaTheAngle You mean indoctrination.🤔

@Zonuss Call it what you will, the semantics make no difference to the outcome.

I tolerate it like most things, but much too scary for me 😬

Absolutely despise it. Wish it didn't exist. Just another excuse for moneymaking and filling the world with plastic tat 😡

@Cheesecake But we love candy. ☺ 🍭

My younger daughter was born on Halloween. I celebrate her. She’s a wonderful person and now a great mom celebrating Halloween with her daughter.

The biggest reason is I hate the cold and I hate being cold. Now being costume and make-up is fun as fucking for me. I just don't like being in the cold outside.
I'll do it, but don't like it
