A line company is an 'echelon'
A battalion is a 'cadre'
A chapter is a 'company'
A 'regiment' is a collection of 'companies' which is fluid and doesn't really have any practical applications outside of recruitment

Nobody's going to read this,which is fine. I just had this "brainwave" and needed to write it down. It's probably wrong anyway though, now that I've had time to reflect on it
