Interesting video - Off ice activities are important, but one ice is where Bedard will shine. Hope Bedard just made a fleeting comment and just needs to learn the media focus that’s on him now as as NHL up and coming star.

I guess the coach is just trying to come up with new tactics. I can understand Bedard wanting to be on the ice though. I guess time will tell if it's gonna work.

I don't have much faith in the Leafs this year with the addition of some new management people, But what the hell else is new. hahaha

I understand the approach, but I think it makes more sense for veterans who need a physical and mental break from the long season. Young players need to play, and they want to play.

@bookerdana In the 80s there was Eric Lindros that didn’t want to play for the Quebec Nordiques. I hope the Hawkes don’t discourage Bedard on day one. He can speak, but needs to choose his words wisely.
