Thought from a Hospital Bed

waiting on breakfast then PT. not much to do but think. here goes todays thoughts. if you flatline in the hospital will unplugging you and quickly plugging you back in be a potential lifesaver. and now an even better thought. can't sleep on my belly or bad side only on my back or good side with a pillow under my tushie or between my legs. if you're ever in the hospital trying to get comfortable and fluffing that pillow will you be wondering where it has been before they gave it to you. as you guessed I'm bored as hell here

So sorry, I don't know why you are there, but I can relate. I had a stroke 10 years ago and had a similar experience figuring out how to get comfortable again

Good luck!

I only stayed in the hospital 2 nights, then they sent me home. Then the night mare of trying to get follow up care started. Glad you are getting good care there. I was bored as well. We were on vacation in Fl and had to get back to TN. Not fun. Never get hurt on vacation.
@Confined can imagine what you went through being away from home.

@saragoodtimes I didn't even have my phone. It ran out quickly and I never expected I'd be exiled there. Supposedly nobody had a compatible charger 🫩

Why not ask you hubby to bring you your laptop, or a tablet? I assume you are accessing SW from your phone? I just want to suggest some interesting, time killing online games. I quite enjoy Sherlock, Hidden Notes, where you find things that are hidden. The art work is quite beautiful!

I just had a deja vu moment...odd!
@4meAndyou I don't want technology, I want to go home

As a somewhat frequent flyer, I feel your pain. Hopefully your pardon comes soon.🤞🌸

Get your other half to bring you in a laptop and a pair of headphones, most hospitals have wifi you can connect to and it makes a hospital stay way more bearable.

I'll never look at a hospital pillow the same now. 🤦‍♀

@Penny every time I fall asleep it's someone bringing me meds or taking blood

@saragoodtimes yep, every 15 minutes

Everything should be cleaned within an inch of its life in a hospital. So don't worry about it.

Save your strength. You can not fluff a hospital pillow.
@Degbeme I have a VIP room. no roommate, a nurse and aide right outside my door. a benefit of being married to a doctor here at the hospital
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@saragoodtimes I had a private room both times I was in. No special treatment though.

Some years ago I did time in a hospital bed. Like you bored as hell. Or I would have been, without wifi and my lap top. The world came to me..😷
